Organized in 2004, Lovell Minnick Partners is the successor to, and continuation of, the private equity business of Putnam Lovell Capital Partners. Putnam Lovell Capital Partners was organized in 1999 by Messrs. Jeffrey D. Lovell and James E. Minnick.

Lovell Minnick Partners also manages a venture capital portfolio for the California Public Employees Retirement System's Manager Development Program (CalPERS MDP Fund).
