Jeffrey Lovell

Co-Founder, Chairman

Jeff is Chairman of Lovell Minnick and co-founded the Firm in 1999. Jeff chairs the firm’s Board of Managers. Prior to Lovell Minnick, he co-founded Putnam Lovell Group Inc. (“Putnam Lovell”) in 1987. In his years at Putnam Lovell, Jeff served as President and Vice Chairman through its development from a single office, M&A advisory firm to a full-service investment bank serving financial institutions worldwide from offices in the U.S. and London. Putnam Lovell was recognized as a prominent boutique firm in global financial services and was acquired by Jefferies. At Putnam Lovell, Jeff served as the senior investment banker on numerous mergers and acquisitions and, notably, he organized its private equity business which became the foundation of Lovell Minnick. Prior to Putnam Lovell, from 1976 through 1987, Jeff held various management positions at SEI Investments in its formative years pre and post-IPO.

Over the last 25 years, Jeff has served on many portfolio company boards and served as the Chairman of several Boards. Jeff is an active alumnus of the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a Board Member Emeritus of the Leeds School of Business and served on the Investment Committee of the University of Colorado Foundation for over a decade. Jeff earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration, cum laude in Finance, from the Leeds School of Business at University of Colorado.
