Jennings Newcom

Co-Founder

Jay Newcom was named as an Advisor to Lovell Minnick in 2018 after serving as General Counsel and Partner of Lovell Minnick since the firm's inception in 1999. He has over 40 years of experience in sophisticated corporate and securities transactions, with an emphasis on private equity investing in the asset management industry. Jay’s prior associations include McDermott, Will & Emery LLP (Chicago), Rifkind, Sterling & Lockwood LLP (Beverly Hills), Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP (Kansas City) and Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP (Denver), where he was a retired Partner through 2013.

Jay earned a B.A. degree from Graceland University, where he later received an Honorary Doctorate of Law, and a J.D. degree from Harvard University.

Value Creation Team Members are independent contractors that are advisors to Lovell Minnick and portfolio companies of Lovell Minnick. They are not employees of Lovell Minnick entities.
