
Mark Gerber
Advisor, Value Creation Team
Mark Gerber was named as an Advisor to Lovell Minnick in 2026, having spent nearly four decades in both the private and public sector primely focusing on risk and regulatory matters and helping companies navigate successful growth in a compliant manner. In this role Mark brings a deep network of contacts he has been able to share with portfolio companies as they achieve their growth strategies.
Mark most recently served as an Assistant Director for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. At the FBI Director’s request, Mark established a new compliance and audit function largely targeting the FBI’s National Security Programs. Mark has addressed Congress on the processes implemented and progress made leading to the renewal of certain FBI legal authorities.
Mark is a retired partner from PwC having spent 14 years in their Forensic Services practice, including leading the Forensic Accounting and Technology services for the Philadelphia region. In this role, Mark routinely worked for and with Executive Management, Audit Committees, and Boards of Directors when clients were facing serious allegations including open or impending investigations from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and/or The Department of Justice.
Prior to joining PwC, Mark served as a Special Agent with the FBI for approximately nine years. During this time Mark was the lead investigator on two of the nation’s largest and most successful prosecutions of accounting and security fraud.
Mark began his career with EY spending nearly 8 years as a financial auditor before being recruited to become the CFO of one of his clients, The Diversified Search Companies, a leading retainer based executive search firm.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Joseph’s University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and a CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics), both inactive.
